Cheese Snatcher

This is what we have been finding in our fridge lately, very large bits of cheese missing from the block. One morning Cory and I were still in bed and Kallon came running in with the block of cheese in his hands. "Look mommy, look dad, I eat cheese." I don't know what it is all of the sudden with Kallon and his cheese obsession. A few months ago he would not even touch the stuff. For the past three weeks I have been buying string cheese for him and he loves it. He asks for stringa cheese(as he calls it) about 10 times a day. I think he would just eat cheese all day long if I really let him. I guess I shouldn't be too worried about it because its actually somewhat healthy for him. Now instead of ripping into the block he gets out and carries around his stringacheese like its a beloved toy or stuffed animal. Now I only hope that in a few more weeks he will begin liking fruit! I know, what a strange little child we have!:)

Just look at that innocent face!

Poopy in the potty!

Today Kallon finally pooped in the potty! For all you moms out there I know you understand my excitement. I don't care if this grosses anyone out because I am so glad that I am one more tiny step towards getting Kallon out of diapers. It would be nice to be diaper free for a little while. Anyway I haven't been trying too hard with potty training because of all the change that has been going on with us and everything. I would ask a few times a day if he had to go potty and he would say yes, so he would go sit on it for about 2.3 seconds! He just didn't act too interested so I didn't push it. Today I was laying on the couch and Cory was playing Zelda-loser and I could see Kallon trying so hard to poop. Cory and I immediately jumped up and said lets go poop on the potty. For some strange reason he is deathly afraid of the big toilet now so he sat on his potty chair and we gave him spiderman snacks. Gross I know to eat on the potty but hey, what ever works at this point! We left him to do his business and a few minutes later we hear the little song that alerts us that there is a surprise in the potty. Sure enough we went in to check and there it was. Kallon was so excited he was jumping up and down and to everyones surprise he started peeing all over the place! He tried to stop it by putting his finger over himself but of course that just made it worse and it got the cupboards. Cory and I were laughing so hard and poor little Kallon was so upset that he'd peed on the floor he burst into tears. Cory got Kallon in the tub and cleaned him off while I got the fun job of cleaning the potty and the floor. Its was quite the ordeal but it only means we are getting closer. I hope it was not just a fluke!
