Kallon went skiing for the first time during our visit to Idaho in January. At first he would not stand up so Cory picked him up under his arms and held onto him while he skied down the hill. The entire way down Kallon was laughing and saying this is so fun over and over again. He also really loved the ski lift. He thought he was pretty darn cool all the way there watching the skiers go by down below. I was very nervous for that part because I wasn't sure how we were going to get off. I have trouble sometimes getting off by myself. We managed though and never fell once. By the third run he had caught on and was doing great. There was junior students at the ski hill that day for a field trip and as they passed over top of us on the lift they would cheer Kallon on. Kallon was in heaven! I think to have people he didn't even know cheering for him really made him try harder. As long as we had a hold of the harness Kallon would ski down a little ways, stop and get going again all his own. We are so proud of him and Cory is even more excited that Kallon loved it. He had grin on his face the whole time.

Visit to Idaho
We had the opportunity to visit our families in Idaho the past two weeks. It was so nice to get away from everyday life and just hang out. While there we all got hair cut by my sister Katy, we skied, we played in the snow, visited friends, and taught Kallon how to ski. He loved it. I will post video in my next post. We were so excited to ski because it had been so long since we have gotten the opportunity to go. Our skis have been sitting in the garage collecting dust the past couple winters. Don't ask me why or how but our ski boots and poles ended up with us in Texas and our skis in Idaho. It was quite the feat getting our boots home but we did it and decided to borrow poles. There were two huge snow storms while we were there, good thing because when we landed in Salt Lake there wasn't any snow but about an hour into the drive to Idaho it started coming down really hard and made for an interesting/scary ride home. Kallon loved playing with his cousin Stratton, they had so much fun together. When it was time for us to leave Stratton put on his shoes and coat saying goodbye to his mom telling her that he was coming with us to Texas. They had such a good time together and with uncle Jonathan who made them some awesome capes out of duct tape. We celebrated my mom's birthday, ate out more than we should have, and had some fun dinners with friends and family. It was a really fun trip but I am glad to be home. Thanks to our wonderful parents, family, and friends who made our trip so fun.
In other news Cory has officially decided to attend Texas A&M Medical School!!! Finally! We are so excited to be moving on with our lives. We will find out at the end of the month which city we will be moving to because there are a few different campuses. Once we find out which campus we will be going to we will start the process for buying a home. I think that part has me more excited than anything. :)

Driving from Utah to Idaho, it was an early morning.
