It has happened...

Kallon has cut his hair! We were eating breakfast together this morning and he says "mom, I have some hair sticking up on my head I need to go fix it." After he said it he ran into my bathroom. I was thinking he was going to use some gel or hairspray or even water and comb to fix his hair. Boy, was I wrong. He came back sat down at the table and continued to eat his food like nothing had happened. I asked him what he did, and he just put his head down on the table. That's when I knew he had done something bad. I took a closer look at his hair and there was a little bald spot where before his hair was sticking up. He had found the scissors and cut those sticking up pieces right off. I thought it was so funny. The whole time I am trying to tell him the scissors are off limits and he shouldn't be touching them I was laughing. Talk about your mixed messages. So to fix his self given trim I buzzed his head this morning. Its not my favorite look for him but in this San Antonio humidity I bet his head will be a lot cooler! I'm just glad he didn't take the scissors to Kate's hair, but I am sure the fateful day will come.

See the big chunk of hair missing?

Naughty, naughty

Busy, busy, busy!

So much to do and so little time to do it. I have been a blogging slacker mainly because I just have not had the energy to write or even think for that matter. We have been so busy getting ready to close on the house, picking out paint and tile, getting the apartment packed, keeping the kids entertained and so on. This past month has just flown by I look back and think where did the time go? I thought I had all this time to get ready to go, pack up and say goodbye to friends but the time is here! I can't believe it. We will close on our first home next week! I am excited, scared, nervous, and ecstatic all at the same time. In other words I am basically a mess. What a process it has been. I am so excited to continue on with our lives but sad to leave some of the wonderful friends we have made here in San Antonio. If you would have told me a year and half ago I would have been sad to leave I never would have believed you. Don't get me wrong I still despise the humidity and the long hot summer that never ends but we have met some wonderful people that really made this adventure to San Antonio easier on me and my family. We have truly made some great friends and will be sad we won't see them on a regular basis. I have loved living in a bigger city that actually has fun family entertainment and any store you could possibly imagine! In Idaho I used to have to plan a day to drive forty-five minutes to Idaho Falls and back just to visit Old Navy or Dillards. To think we are moving ourselves right back into the same situation. Temple has one mall and I think the biggest store is JC Penney! Oh well I guess it will keep me from spending money! :)
Pictures of what we have been up to the past few months.
